Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Ha Giang Loop?
The Ha Giang Loop is a multi-day motorbike journey through northern Vietnam’s most remote and beautiful mountains. It takes you along winding roads past towering limestone peaks, deep valleys, waterfalls, and small ethnic villages where life moves at a slower pace. More than just a scenic ride, the Ha Giang Loop is about adventure, connection, and seeing a side of Vietnam that still feels raw, local, and untouched.
Want more information? Check-out our Ha Giang Loop Guide!
What tour is best for me?
It depends on what you’re looking for. We offer three different Ha Giang Loop tour styles, plus Cao Bang tours and combo routes if you want to explore even more of northern Vietnam.
Our most popular choice is the 4-Day Ha Giang Loop tour, perfect for travelers who want the full experience: more scenic stops, deeper cultural moments, and a relaxed pace that lets you truly connect with the region.
Explore Ha Giang Safari Tours or message us on WhatsApp! We’re always happy to chat, answer your questions, and help you choose the tour that fits you best.

Yes, an international motorbike license is required to legally drive in Vietnam. However, if you don’t have one, we offer guided tours where you can ride as a passenger. For more driving information, check-out our Ha Giang Loop Self-Driving Guide.
What if it rains during the tour?

EXCELLENT Based on 1175 reviews Posted on Abby SalleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have nothing but positive praise to say for Ha Giang Safari House! I organized a trip with them for me, my friend , and my boyfriend on motorbikes, and then for my parents following us on a jeep, and everything went so smoothly. Even when things did go wrong, which wasn't their fault, they worked really hard to make sure that we were still able to have a great trip. You could tell that it wasn't just to keep a good reputation, they actually cared about making sure that our trip was amazing, even though it wasn't their mistake to fix. Any company that you go on the loop with will be amazing, that's just the way that the loop is. But, not every company will take care of you and your family as well as Ha Giang Safari House took care of me and my family.Posted on Ronja LangendorfTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Dra Sofia BlancoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Muy buen tour con muy linda gente y los riders super responsables, respetuosos y atentos con todos! Fue todo seguro y agradable. Las vistas espectaculares y los vie point de los mejores. Lo recomiendoPosted on Pablo QuintanaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Muchas gracias nos vamos encantadosPosted on Gry WintherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Det var en helt fantastisk oplevelse, med søde drivers, god mad og overordnet hygge🙌🏻❤️Posted on Joe as JTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Virkelig god rute. Søde drivers, bare hygge!☺️Posted on Cassie ParkerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Ha Giang Loop trail with safari was incredible. We travelled to Vietnam for this and it did not disappoint! I’ve never been on a motorbike and I felt incredibly safe with Tuan. He is such an incredible driver - fun, keen to give you a unique experience, safe and silly! You should ask for Tuan! The tour group is super fun. We had around 15 people on our tour, and the other tour we saw (4D3N) had around 25 people. If you don’t like hostels, you can ask for a private room for an additional fee (not that much). Very special few days, and you cover a lot of ground on the 3D 2N trip.Posted on Val DTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everything was perfectly organized through Safari Tours. From the transportation from Hanoi right to the door of the hostel, and after the tour the transfer from the hostel to Sa Pa, everything was smooth and well arranged. The tour itself was amazing, and our driver was very skilled, friendly, and fun to ride with. Even when I made a last-minute change and decided to switch from the 4-day tour to the 3-day tour, they handled it quickly and professionally. Overall, a great experience with excellent service. I would definitely recommend Safari Tours to anyone doing the Ha Giang Loop.Posted on Adrian WirthTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 10 stars.... we made 6D/5N.... everything was perfect (besides the weather...) very good and cautious drivers (thanks to Hieu and Anh!!!), good management, highly recommended. I will come back and do the tour again, and will book it with Ha Giang Safaris!
