The Ha Giang Loop Charity Tour
A 4D3N motorbike adventure through Vietnam's highest mountains where you ride off the tourist trail into a village travelers never see. Connect with and give back to local communities, seeing Ha Giang through the eyes of the people who call it home.
Adventure with a Purpose
Every mile of the Ha Giang Loop is unforgettable — but this tour goes one step further. Here's what makes the Charity Tour unique.
Still the Full Ha Giang Loop — This is the same legendary 4D3N Ha Giang Loop you've heard about — the hairpin passes, the karst valleys, all the classic highlights included. You're not trading the adventure for charity.
One Day, A Meaningful Difference — One full day, called our Giving Day, takes you off the standard route and into a local village most travelers never see. You'll cook and share a meal with local children and connect with the community through a local guide.
The Need Decides the Gift — No two Charity Tours are exactly the same. Each village receives a special gift based on its current need that month — whether it's warm clothing for winter or extra food during a tough farming season.
Easy Rider Only — This tour is offered in Easy Rider format only, since the route into the village runs on local roads not suited for self-driving.
Limited & Once a Month — Capped at a max of 20 travelers, this tour runs only once a month — so spots are limited!
Every Tour Gives Back — A portion of every Ha Giang Safari tour goes directly to underprivileged children, poor families, or Easy Rider families — through established funds supporting families facing illness, disaster, or hardship.
Ha Giang Loop Charity Tour
This tour only runs once a month — don't miss this month's departure! Spots are limited to 20 travelers to keep the village visit intentional.

Bac Sum Pass & Heaven Gate (Quan Ba)
The first day brings a dramatic shift in scenery as you leave Ha Giang city behind and wind your way through mountain roads and sweeping hairpin bends — locally known as snake rolls. The ride itself is part of the experience, with every curve revealing a more breathtaking landscape than the last. Your first major stop is the legendary Heaven Gate (Cổng Trời), reached by crossing the Bac Sum Pass. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with a sweeping panoramic view of Tam Son town nestled in the valley below and the iconic Twin Mountains (Núi Đôi) — two perfectly symmetrical hills rising from the valley floor.
Tam Son
Enjoy family-style lunch in the charming town of Tam Son. Shared dishes of local Vietnamese flavors are brought to the table for everyone to enjoy together — a warm, communal way to refuel and soak in the laid-back pace of town life in the highlands. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. Lunch is included in your tour package.
Lung Khuy Cave
Lung Khuy Cave is one of the region's most impressive natural wonders. A brief uphill hike leads you to the cave entrance, where a vast, pristine chamber opens up before you, filled with dramatic formations of stalagmites and stalactites that have been sculpted over thousands of years. The scale and untouched beauty of the cave make it one of the most memorable stops on the entire loop. Entrance is included in your tour package.
Yen Minh
The final stretch of Day 1 treats you to more of Ha Giang's jaw-dropping mountain scenery as you wind your way into Yen Minh town for your first night on the loop. Arrive at your homestay and settle in before sitting down to a delicious family-style dinner cooked with warmth and local love. Then the real fun begins. The night comes alive with karaoke, pool, and a taste of Ha Giang's famous happy water — a special corn spirit unique to the region that's best enjoyed in good company. Head up to the rooftop to catch the sunset over the mountains, crack open a cold beer, and get to know your group. Nights at the homestay have a way of becoming the highlight of the whole trip.
Tham Ma Pass
One of the most photographed spots on the entire Ha Giang Loop, Tham Ma Pass is a must-stop on Day 2. The iconic S-curve road snaking through the mountains makes for an unforgettable photo. Take a few minutes to grab a coffee from a local stall, breathe in the mountain air, and soak in the sweeping views stretching across the valleys below. H'Mong locals are often found here in their traditional dress, and souvenirs are available.
H’Mong King Palace (Vuong Palace)
Step back in time with a visit to Vuong Palace, the magnificent former residence of H'Mong King Vuong Duc Chinh and his son Vuong Chi Sinh. Built in the early 20th century and blending Vietnamese, Chinese, and H'Mong architectural styles, the palace is a fascinating window into the history and culture of the highland people who once ruled this remote corner of Vietnam. Your Easy Rider guide will introduce the story and the significance of the palace. Entrance is included in your tour package.
Làng Lô Lô Chải Village
Làng Lô Lô Chải is one of the most authentic villages on the entire loop. Home to the Lô Lô ethnic minority community, the village is a peaceful escape with traditional stone houses, terraced fields, and a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for generations. Sit down to a hearty family-style lunch with local flavors before taking some time to wander the village lanes, get a coffee, and soak in the atmosphere. Lunch is included in your tour package.
Lung Cu Flagpoint
One of the most iconic stops on the Ha Giang Loop, Lung Cu Flag Tower sits at the northernmost point of Vietnam, perched high on Dragon Mountain just a stone's throw from the Chinese border. Climbing up the stone steps rewards you with one of the most breathtaking and patriotic views in the entire country — Vietnam's giant national flag flying proudly overhead against a vast panorama of mountains and valleys stretching in every direction. The tower itself is built in the shape of a dragon's head. Entrance is included in your tour package.
Ma Pi Leng Pass
Ask anyone who has done the Ha Giang Loop what their single most breathtaking moment was, and chances are they'll say Ma Pi Leng. Widely regarded as the most spectacular pass in all of Vietnam, Ma Pi Leng is the crown jewel of the loop — a dramatic stretch of road carved into sheer limestone cliffs that plunges down to the brilliant turquoise waters of the Nho Que River snaking through the canyon far below. Towering karst peaks rise on all sides, and a stop at the main viewpoint gives you a few minutes to take it all in.
Boat Ride on Nho Que River
After taking in the views from above at Ma Pi Leng, descend to the banks of the Nho Que River to experience its famous turquoise waters up close. Board a traditional boat and cruise along the river, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs that rise dramatically on either side — a completely different and equally stunning perspective of the landscape. The boat cruise is included in your tour price.
Dong Van Town
As the afternoon light fades, your Easy Rider guides you into the charming old town of Dong Van — one of the most atmospheric stops on the entire loop. Dinner is family-style, included in your tour price. In the cooler winter months, warm up with a steaming hotpot shared around the table. If your trip falls on a weekend, Dong Van's famous night market comes alive in the evening, drawing locals and travelers alike for a lively spread of street food, local produce, and highland culture.
This is the day that makes the tour what it is. Start the morning in Dong Van with an early homemade breakfast at 7:30am. The tour will get a headstart to the day leaving at around 8:30am to start driving to the village. You'll meet with the tour leader to go over the plan for the day.
The Unexplored Route
Ride a route unexplored by tourists into the village of Giang Chu Pin — you'll see local life on the Ha Giang Loop, but here you'll go into a village no tourists ever go.
Cooking for the Children
Spend the day with the local community, cook a shared meal (Bo Sot Vang, rice, fried spring rolls) for 30 families and village children, and take part in real, unhurried time with the families who live there. They share their own private language, so we'll also have a local guide from that village to help communicate. We also bring sweet breads, milk, cakes, and hot dogs (a luxury food in Ha Giang for them!)
Delivering the Gift
This is the moment it all comes together. Depending on what the community needs most right now, you'll help present that month's contribution — whether it's supplies, essentials, or a direct donation — chosen with real care for what will make the biggest difference. Because some villages sit high in the remote mountains, we meet at a central spot where everyone can gather together. Then, with full hearts, say your goodbyes and ride back to the homestay.
Du Gia Village
Spend your final night in the peaceful village of Du Gia, a quiet farming community surrounded by rice fields and limestone mountains, offering a relaxing end to your Ha Giang Loop adventure. Unwind at your homestay with its swimming pool, pool table, karaoke, and one of the best family-style dinners on the tour before enjoying your last evening with your group and Easy Riders. Drinking water is unlimited, so feel free to ask the homestay staff for a refill anytime.
Du Gia Village
Start your morning with a homemade breakfast at the homestay. If you're lucky, there may be a local morning market taking place just outside, where you can experience everyday life in rural Vietnam, with local people, fresh produce, livestock, and traditional foods.
Thâm Luông Waterfall
Cool off with a refreshing swim at the beautiful waterfall in Tham Luong Village, one of the most relaxing stops on the Ha Giang Loop. Towel rentals are available if needed, and you can grab a cold drink while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Feeling adventurous? Take the plunge with some optional cliff jumping before continuing your journey.
Duong Thuong Valley
Travel through the peaceful valley of Duong Thuong, where winding roads pass traditional villages, terraced rice fields, and stunning mountain scenery. This quieter stretch of the Ha Giang Loop offers a glimpse into everyday local life and is the perfect place to relax and take in the natural beauty of the region.
Thuan Hoa & Thai An Village
Stop in Thai An Village for your final lunch of the Ha Giang Loop, enjoying one last delicious family-style meal together before the journey back to Ha Giang. Surrounded by peaceful countryside and mountain views, it’s the perfect place to relax, reflect on the adventure, and share stories with your group. After lunch, continue through the Thuan Hoa area, passing rolling hills, scenic valleys, and traditional rural villages.
Ha Giang Safari Hostel
The final stretch of the loop brings one last taste of Ha Giang's magic — a cruising ride back through the winding mountain roads, passing through quiet villages and sweeping landscapes. Arrive back at Ha Giang Safari Hostel around 4:30–5:00pm. Freshen up with a shower, grab a coffee or tea, and help yourself to some snacks while you rest your legs. Play some games, swap stories, and take your time saying goodbye to your Easy Rider guides. When you're ready, the hostel is perfectly placed to get you to your next bus or onward destination.
Note: The village visited rotates based on current need and accessibility. Routes may be subject to change due to road conditions and weather.
