Bac Sum Pass – Your First Glimpse of the Loop

As you ride through Bac Sum Pass, the scenery changes dramatically — mist-covered valleys and endless green hills. We stop at the best viewpoints for coffee, photos, and a stretch before continuing deeper into the loop.

Quan Ba Heaven Gate & Twin Mountains

Arrive at Heaven Gate for panoramic views of terraced rice fields and deep valleys. See Quan Ba's Twin Mountains — locals call them "Fairy Mountains" for their legends of love and fertility.

Lunch Stop at Yen Minh Town

Bao Lac Scenic Route

As you leave Ha Giang, watch how the scenery changes. Take off-the-beaten-path mountain roads — the route less traveled into Cao Bang.

Khau Coc Cha Pass (14-Level Pass)

As a reward for the long drive, you'll meet the dramatic 14-level pass. Stretch your legs by hiking up to the viewpoint or enjoy a coffee. This is one of the most memorable riding days of the entire trip.

The 6-day adds an extra day in Du Gia village. It's for travelers who want maximum depth of the Ha Giang Loop while also enjoying the best of Cao Bang.
Not at all — every day has major highlights. The extra time means more village stops, hidden viewpoints, and genuine connection with local communities rather than dead time. Most 6-day travelers say it's their best decision.
Yes, however we recommend going with an easy rider. Self-driving is available if you have an international driving permit. Our guide rides alongside you the whole route for safety and navigation. No IDP? Ride with an Easy Rider instead.
From Cao Bang you can take a sleeper bus to Hanoi (~6–7 hours). We're happy to help arrange this as part of our full trip support.
